This is the 4th family wedding i've attended this year..
Ivy's wedding was an eye opener. Because it was a combined chinese and malay wedding. Guests were chinese, indian, malay, europeans and peranakans.
There were so many performances which included the malay drum beating thing. Lion dance, chinese tea ceremony, some blessing thing. Even the dresses that my cousin wore were both traditional AND modern.
A funny thing was that my cousin-in-law, who is the malay, said that his malay sucked bad which he admitted to everyone. haha.. it was hilarious when he said it over the microphone. Ivy wore a total of 4 dresses. The first which costs about $4k. 1 of the dresses looked as if it was coated with gold. Sparkling!! hahaa..
She also bought him a rolex watch worth about $29k. Woohoo.. Massive.. Didnt know she spends in thousands. But anyway, the guy bought something back in return which i cant remember, worth $17k.
There were a total of 2 days. The first was the solemnisation followed by dancing and performances lasting for the whole day. And the food was impressive. They never ran out. The staff just kept refilling again and again. People just kept coming in to eat and go off. Madness..
The 2nd day was at velvet underground. Private party from 6pm till 1030pm. And guess what it costs them $25k just to book that place for that tiny bit of time. woohoo!!!
Anywayz, headed down to don's place for mahjong instead. Played a little cause there were too many ppl playing so we had to take turns.. but it wasn't too bad.
So here are some of ivy's wedding's pictures...

Thats ivy and her husband Zul

haha i caught dad giving them his blessings...

And sis too..
So anyway, all of the dresses and the events were planned by ivy and her husband's friends. They had their own logo designed, shot glasses which were designed w their logo and even a paper bag with their logo. Seems like a really well planned wedding.
I didn't give them their blessings like what dad and sis did using some black stuffs and egg and blah blah.. but they definitely have my blessings.
Ivy's a really nice person and i would like to wish her a happy marriage for many years to come. i cant wait to see her future peranakan children. hahaa..
